10 players who played for Broncos made ESPN’s list of all-time best draft picks – Broncos Wire

ESPN recently published an article ranking the best draft picks ever at every slot, from No. 1 overall to No. 262 overall. A total of ten former Denver Broncos players made the list (although not all of them were drafted by the Broncos).
The list includes former quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson (drafted by other clubs before joining Denver’s squad later in their careers) and all-time great Broncos draft picks such as tight end Shannon Sharpe and running back Terrell Davis. Perhaps the Broncos are a poster child in how to draft and develop unsung players and make them high-quality players. Sharpe and Davis were low-round draft picks, but helped the Broncos win two Super Bowls in the late 1990s, and both players are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Development from the draft is a crucial part of roster-building, and the Broncos will have more opportunities to improve their squad during the 2026 draft this weekend.
