Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin detailed how they're dealing with the "trauma" of their recent home invasion, during which the Disney Channel alum reportedly held the trespasser at gunpoint.
Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin refuse to let a harrowing incident sour their suite life.
Three days after Dylan confronted a trespasser at the couple's Los Angeles home, he and his supermodel wife shared how they've been leaning on their shared sense of humor.
"It's dealing with the trauma with jokes and fun," Barbara exclusively told E! News Creator Cam host Erin Lim Rhodes at the New York City premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 April 20, with Dylan adding that he's "not a 'too soon' guy" when it comes to comedy.
"We're laughing about things the moment they happen," the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum continued. "You got to have levity in life. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there was no more violence than what happened. So, it's all OK."
Indeed, Dylan, 33, and Barbara, 32, were cracking jokes on the red carpet. Not only did the pair playfully call out each other for having food stuck in their teeth, Dylan also poked fun at himself when he became distracted by a nearby mirror.
"I love looking at myself so much," Cole Sprouse's brother quipped, "I had a twin split off of me for it."
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were called to Dylan and Barbara's Hollywood Hills home in the early morning hours of April 17 on a report of an attempted burglary, law enforcement sources told TMZ. As the pair waited for officers to arrive, Dylan confronted the intruder by holding him at gunpoint and tackling him to the ground, per the sources.
The man was arrested on site, according to the outlet. Authorities have not publicly identified him.
E! News reached out to the LAPD for comment but did not hear back.
On the red carpet, Dylan said he initially wanted to address the reported break-in with a video of his self-described "performative karate" moves.
"But then Barbara told me it's cringe," he playfully noted, "and I shouldn't do it."
