MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – WVU students and Morgantown community members gathered at the Morgantown Marketplace for the annual International Street Festival.
The festival hosted by the WVU Office of Global Affairs included different cultural student organizations, who sold food, beverages and various handmade items. The festival also included various food trucks.
Organizers said the purpose of the festival is to involve the Morgantown and WVU communities and encourage unity between cultures.
“To allow the student organizations that are also participating to show their home countries and share their cultures with Morgantown as well as to showcase the variety of cultures that are right here in Morgantown in our own backyard,” said Becky McDaniel, program specialist with the WVU Office of Global Affairs.
The event included multiple performances from various cultures.
